Stakeholder Communication Training II
Strengthen stakeholder relationships, using the results of stakeholder assessments, approved messages and advanced communication strategies.
How You Succeed – Trust is the foundation of successful stakeholder relations and this training will ensure you have the skills necessary to build trust and solidify stakeholder relationships. When stakeholders understand and trust your organization, doors of opportunity open up. To gain trust, you must understand how people are convinced–and studies show emotions are more important to people than data when they make decisions. Therefore, it is crucial you engage stakeholders at an emotional level to achieve real trust and influence. We also know that people naturally resist messages that confront their core filters, such as culture, identity, beliefs, emotions and perspectives. This is why many organizations fall short in their efforts to trust and influence stakeholders.
What You Will Learn – First, our experts will ensure that you fully understand the results of assessments that have captured your stakeholders’ concerns. Second, we will help you understand the role of emotions and other core filters that determine your success in connecting with stakeholders. Third, you will practice a range of communication and rapport skills to effectively establish trust with your stakeholders. Fourth, you will practice delivering approved messages, so you can move forward in unity with “one voice” to help your stakeholders understand all sides of an issue or subject matter. Finally, you will learn proven question and answer (Q&A) strategies to be better on your feet, so you can comfortably engage with your stakeholders and handle a wide array of concerns and questions.
The Role of Emotions – Because emotions override data when people make decisions, connecting at an emotional level is key! Our consultants are Certified Master Practitioners in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), the study of behavior and language patterns, and we have studied emotions and other behavioral filters for years. We will share powerful strategies to help you listen and communicate at a deep level to better align with stakeholder emotions, values, perspectives, criteria and beliefs. These skills will also increase your Emotional Intelligence (EQ), the ability to recognize and control emotions that guide your thinking and actions. Research shows that people with higher EQ are simply more likable and get better results with their stakeholders. This training will help you build stronger stakeholder relations and open more doors of opportunity for your organization.
